Christmas

A HO-HO-HO HOLIDAY

Christmas Day was a joyful day for our adopted Christmas family this year.  The family of ten was blessed with the goodness of giving from our Christ Episcopal Church parish family.

On Saturday, December 16th, a team of volunteers gathered in our parish hall to wrap hundreds of gifts, large and small, necessary and frivolous, to provide joy for a family that was brought to our attention.

The spirit of giving is not a rare thing at Christ Church.  We have some of the most generous peope who attend here.  Gifts came in from the beginning of the first announcement.  Large gifts, small gifts, specialty gifts, edible gifts, gifts for parents and gifts for the children; truly it was a heartwarming sight to see.

Gloria Bryant and Theresa McCabe, Co-chairs of the Outreach Committee, wish to thank Debbie and Michaela Bronschidle, Glorianne Hutchins, Sue Miller, Molly Smith, Fay Mrowczynski, Lanette McGovern, and Cindy Theurer for many hours of beautiful wrapping skills.  We are truly appreciative of your volunteer service.  We also wish to thank Gwen Gonzalez and Cindy and Bob Theurer for assisting with the delivery of the gifts to the family.

Gloria and Theresa thank the entire parish family for the generous donations to the Outreach Fund that provides food for the hungry who visit the 716 Little Food Pantries throughout the year in Lockport and gifts for our Christmas families each year.  May God bless you all in 2024 with good health, happiness and blessings to comfort you!
